Day 1 – Kazan

Day 2 - Kazan

8:00-9:00 – Breakfast at the hotel.

9:00-11:00 – Sightseeing tour of Kazan.
As part of the transport and walking tour of the most interesting sights of Kazan, we will see the city from all sides: we will walk along the ancient streets, where every stone has its own history, and visit a modern metropolis living in the frantic rhythm of the capital.

You will visit:
• The Old Tatar settlement with ancient Tatar mosques;
• Lake Kaban, shrouded in legends;
• The sailing building of the Tatar Academic Theatre named after G. Kamal;
• The Tatar village “Tugan Avylym”;
• The fairy-tale palace-puppet theater “Ekiyat”;
• Kazan University;
• Freedom Square – the cultural and administrative center of Kazan;
• Bogoroditsky Monastery and its shrine, the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God.

11:00-13:00 – Excursion around the Kazan Kremlin.

Your will see:
• Kazan Kremlin – the main attraction of the city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site;
• Spasskaya Tower – the main gate of the Kremlin;
• Kul Sharif Mosque – the main mosque of the city and the republic;
• Junker School building;
• Annunciation Cathedral;
• Cannon Yard;
• Residence of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan (Governor’s Palace);
• The symbol of Kazan – the famous “leaning” tower of Khansha Syuyumbike.

13:00-14:00 – Lunch at the local café.

14:00-15:00 – Transfer to Lake “Lebyazhye”.

15:00-16:30 – Private Yacht Volga river cruise.⁣⠀

16:30-17:30 – Transfer to the hotel.

17:30-19:00 – Free time for independent rest.

19:00-20:00 – Dinner at a cafe near the hotel.

Day 3 - Kazan - Bolgar

8:00-9:00 – Breakfast at the hotel.

Full day excursion to Bolgar with lunch at the local cafe.

9:00-12:00 – Transfer to Bolgar

12:00-17:00 Lunch

13:30-14:30 – Acquaintance with Bolgar – the capital of Volga Bulgaria, one of the early state associations of Eastern Europe. The Bolgar Historical and Architectural Complex is the northernmost monument of medieval Muslim architecture in the world, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Bolgar is a holy place for the Volga Tatars. Here in 922, Islam was adopted as the official state religion.

We will see:
• The Cathedral Mosque and the Great Minaret – the center of the architectural ensemble;
• The Eastern Mausoleum – a Muslim burial vault;
• The Northern Mausoleum – a symbol of the Bolgar settlement;
• The Khan’s Tomb and the Small Minaret – sacred places of memory of ancestors;
• The Black Chamber – popular memory associated its name with a beautiful legend about the Bulgarian princess Altynchech, who threw herself from the roof of the building, refusing to marry the Golden Horde Khan;
• The White Mosque – one of the most significant structures that have replenished the modern collection of the architectural heritage of Tatarstan. The white decorum of the building makes the mosque resemble the Indian Taj Mahal.

17:00-20:00 – Transfer to the Kazan hotel.

20:00-21:00 – Dinner at a cafe next to the hotel.

Day 4 - Kazan

8:00-9:00 – Breakfast at the hotel.

9:00-12:00 – Free time for independent rest.
