It is a reconstruction of the cathedral, built in the early 19th century in honor of the victory over Napolen and blown up during the Stalinist repressions. For many years, there was a swimming pool in its place, in the 1990s the temple was rebuilt and transferred to believers. Its main mission is to honor the memory of fallen soldiers during the war with Napoleon.

    Kremlin Diamond fund

    Since 1967, the Diamond Fund exhibition has been demonstrated on the territory of the Moscow Kremlin. It presents jewelry of historical and cultural significance, as well as masterpieces of jewelry from the 18-20th centuries.

    The idea to collect a collection of valuable jewelry belonged to Peter I, who in 1719 issued a decree on the creation of a special room for their storage. Later it was called the Diamond Room. For three centuries, the collection was replenished with new jewelry and unique precious nuggets.

    When in 1967 the exhibits of the Diamond Fund were put on public display, it was assumed that the exhibition would last only a year. But the interest of visitors was so huge that it was decided to make it permanent.

    The most famous exhibits:

    1. Imperial crown of Russia;
    2. Small Imperial Crown;
    3. Imperial Scepter of Catherine II;
    4. Order of the St. Apostle Andrew;
    5. Badge of the Golden Fleece Order;
    6. diadem of Maria Fedorovna.

    In the collection of the Diamond Fund you can see the lost precious jewelry that was restored by Russian craftsmen in the 20th century.
