Itinerary
Day 1 – Irkutsk
00:15 – Meeting at the Irkutsk airport.
Transfer to the hotel.
Day 2 – Irkutsk - Listwyanka
Breakfast
10:00 – Departure for Listvyanka, a small settlement located on the shores of Lake Baikal.
11:30-12:30 – Husky town.
13:00 – Lunch time at the local restaurant.
After lunch, you will go on a walking tour around the Listvyanka settlement: you will visit the Church of St. Nicolas the Wonderworker – the guardian angel of travelers, make a stop at a local fish marked, walk on shoreline to see the lake’s flora and fauna, also we will go to Chersky rock to Baikal Observation Point on ski lift.
16:00-17:00 – Snowmobile riding.
17:30 – Transfer to the hotel.
19:00 – Arriving in the hotel.
Day 3 – Irkutsk - Olkhon Island
Breakfast
Today we will take a trip to Olkhon Island (5-6 hours from Irkutsk).
09:00 – Departure from Irkutsk. On the way we will have lunch at the local Buryat cafe.
13:00 – Arriving in the Sakhurta village, transfer to a hovercraft (with luggage).
13:30-17:30 – Hovercraft excursion along south part of Olkhon Island (Khorgoy Cape, Cape Dragon, Ogoi island and Buddhist stupa, ice caves, blue ice, bubble ice).
18:00 – Transfer to the hotel in Khuzhir village.
Day 4 – North Part of Olkhon Island
Breakfast
09:00-15:00 – This day we will take a jeep drive across Lake Baikal towards to its eastern coast line. Along your ice drive route today you’ll see huge icicles, hanging like sharp teethes from the sailings of the rocky grottos of Harazy Island and several quite deep ice caves located at the bottom of the huge cliffs of Three Brother Cape. We will head to the most northern cape of Olkhon, locally called “Hoboy” (means fang tooth in translation) which is a most spectacular place of the whole Olkhon area.
At this spot island ends by a high rocky cliff surrounded by endless ice fields with a plenty of ice cracks focusing to the bottom of the Khoboy cliff. Lunch will be prepared over a campfire, directly on the ice.
15:00-15:30 – Excursion to Shaman Rock.
16:00 – Departure for Irkutsk.
(Khuzhir – Ferry: UaZ 4*4, transfer to hovercraft, transfer to microbus Ferry – Irkutsk).
21:00 – Arriving in Irkutsk, check in the hotel.
Day 5 – Irkutsk
08:00 – Departure to Irkutsk airport.
