In 25 km from the center of Moscow is the world-famous Cosmonaut Training Center located.Opened in 1965, it has been kept secret for decades and unavailable to non-specialist visits.
From 2018 the doors of the center are open for visiting in the group of 10 people and more.
Moscow Cosmonaut Training Center provides for visitor unigue personal experience: try special simulators, or study specific cosmonaut skills or exlore space eguipment.
Training Center provides:
• The simulator of aircraft and helicopters to familiarize visitors with the training of the crew of the Boeing 737-500, ATR-42-300 and Mi-8 MTV, Mi-8T helicopters for flight;
• Specialized simulator “Virtual transport spacecraft Soyuz-TMA”;
• Research of the interior and domestic compartment of the shipspacecraft Soyuz-TMA;
• Familiarization with the work of astronauts;
• Studying the principles of operation of the device and acquiring basic skills in managing onboard systems and equipment of the ship spacecraft Soyuz-TMA;
• Interactive interaction with interior objects of spacecraft and with virtual control panel; how to interac between crew members;
• The study of the modes of approach, landing and docking with the International Space Station in manual and automatic modes;
• Imitation of the acoustic environment (the sound of the engines of the launch vehicle at the launch, the sounds of the engines of the Soyuz-TMA).
There is a special room in the Center where the Falcone (Falcon) training suits are stored.
There are spacesuits of any size, for height from 160 cm to 193 cm and weight from 50 kg to 90 kg. Most of these spacesuits have been in real flight, and now continue to “serve” cosmonautics as simulators.
Its very much realictic to try on a real spacesuit and make a unique photo shoot.
